Our first release of 2017 sees another new artist making his debut on UNT. Monophaze comes to us with only a handful of previous releases and 'Beyond Home' makes a big statement for things to come from this young Italian producer.

The Original Mix of 'Beyond Home' is a perfect set opener with its ambient pads that soak through the whole audio spectrum and builds increasingly throughout, adding new percussion layers and a very simple yet effective chord stab hook that slices through all the surrounding sounds. This is a track that can really set the pace of a set.

On the remix for this one is label boss John Norman. While the original track is more forward driving, John brings a bit more of a chugging feel. Known for dropping a breakdown to almost nothingness, allowing for a slight break in your set building it back up and allowing you to take your mix to the next chapter, John has mentioned in the past that 'this is done on purpose to allow for the ambient surroundings of the individual listener to take part in the song, an experience that will change every time you listen to it.'

Both of these tracks are fantastic pieces of work, definite keepers and ones to put in your crate as they offer slightly different perspectives of a story about travel and discovery.
